Minkiani pass trek
4 DaysMINKIANI PASS: The pass is second favourite trek for the trekkers who visit in Dharamshala .It is located on Kareri village North west of Dharamshala city. The Trail is also used by loacal Shepherds to graze their flocks in summer season and they also crossover pass to reach rich meadows and pasture lands of Chamba valley.The trek is Gradual climb from Kareri village and it take 5-6 Hours to reach at kareri lake.There are some tea stalls on the way for Refreshments.From Kareri lake it is Challenging climb to the pass at an altitude of 4250 Metres. View from the Top of the pass view is Mesmerizing as you can see high peaks on Pir Panjal Mountains.The descent is easy as compared to climb but one most be carefull with balancing and putting your steps on right place.Overall the trek is Moderate and average people are able to complete this trek.

Weather:Â In evening temeprature drops to 9-10 degrees. In Indrahar pass Temperature is 5-7 degrees only and if the weather is cloudy it can drop to 0 degrees.
Preparation : You must have done few treks before of Altitude 3000-4000 metres. You should have good physical fitness and carrying weight capacity at least 12 kgs in your backpack .It will keep you in good endurance. Walking long distances walk upto 10-12 kms is also required
