Itinerary :

Day 1 – Jia-Supdhar Base Camp (2500 meters) (5 hours)

It’s an easy but long trail of 16 kilometers from Jia Village (20kms from Dharamshala). We follow the Talang stream coming down the slopes of Dhauladhar. Then the trail crosses and reach another stream and then we after a few kms ascent we reach Supdhar Base Camp. Supdhar is a beautiful open valley an an ideal camping ground. We would see some Gujjar settlements and we will camp here tonight.

Day 2- Supdhar-Gaddi Got (3800 meters)

After several hours of hiking and traversing through criss crossing trails, We reach Gaddi Got, the camp ground as we camp here tonight.

Day 3- Gaddi Got-Karah (3600 Meters) over Talang Pass (9-10 hours)

Trail from Gaddi Got to Talang is a little confusing and stiff, so we need to stay careful and in group as this path has several trails criss-crossing and we might need technical gear if their is snow or the path is slippery. We will reach a Col with an open view of the valley below, we can stop here for refreshment and click pictures. After some difficult climbing we reach top of Talang Pass. Enjoy the view here as we prepare for an equally taxing and tricky descent on the other side towards Karah which is a bowl between the ridges offering a spectacular V shaped view of the Dhauladhars.

Day 4- Karah-Holi (2000 meters) 7-8 hours

Although the last day of our trek, but this portion is no less taxing as we will descent 16 kms into dense forests, alpine grasslands and green fields to reach Majharan Village. From here we take a jeep towards Holi and then further towards Chamba at our guest house.
