Tatapani Natural Hot springs trek

 

Tatapani also known as tatwani is a sulphur water hot springs in nature along the Binwa river in Baijanth Region.

Shower in the spring of sulphur provides relief to individuals affected by joint pain, fatigue and stress, or any kind of disease of the skin and thus has high meditative quality.Tattani is a perfect place for enjoyment and relaxation. it is also a renowned journeying for Hindus; the devout consider the month of Magh (January-February) auspicious for a dip: it’s believed that by doing therefore, one can cleans itself of one’s sins.

Trek Itinerary:

Day 1: Baijnath – Deol- Tatapani Hot Springs

Meet us at Baijanth ,start drive 1hour to Deol Khas and then to Hyrdo Project the last point of the road. From here begin the trek gentle uphill climb the ridge half an hour ,reaching at ridge it is gentle walk along the river to Hotsprings 4 kms.Reach in hot springs visit temple and then take a shower in sulpur water and relax. Evening gather in bornfire and dinner will be served. Stay in tents overnight.

Day 2:Tatapani- Palachak 

Start trek uphill and trek to Palachak Camp the base camp of Thamsar pass(4450 m) .Stay in tents overnight

Day 3: Palachak-Rajgundha

Post breakfast trek to Rajgundha Valley ,it is a small and beautiful valley situated beyond Barot in the lap of Dhauladhars. The valley hosts several small villages including Kukkar Gundha, Rajgundha, Baragran, etc. Rajgundha Village is a tiny and quaint village situated along the Uhl River at an altitude of around 2700 m. It can be reached only by trek as of now. The village is located inside the Dhauladhar Wildlife Sanctuary and it offers majestic views of lush green dense forest and snow-capped mountains of Dhauladhars. The Billing to Rajgundha trek is quite popular among locals and trekking enthusiasts.

Day 4:Rajgundha – Billing

After breakfast start trek we come across beautiful scenic vistas as layers and layers of mountains greet us from a distance. There are breath-taking views of the valley as we able to see Billing, Bir and the entire Kangra Valley up from a distance. The views are breath-taking and worth appreciating as well as taking pictures. In Billing, enjoy a maggi or bread omlette or take a shot at paragliding from World’s second highest paragliding site at 2400 meters .Fly from Billing to Bir and land in bir and end of the trip. Evening take volvo to Delhi
