Pin Bhabha Pass

7 Days

The Bhaba (aka Bhapa Pass, Tarik or Tari Khango La) lies at the head of a beautiful alpine valley and marks the division between the forests of Himachal Pradesh and the arid expanse of Spiti. On the northern side of the pass you follow the Pin river to Mud and this route is often combined with the more demanding Parvati Pass route to/from Manali, thus the Pin Parvati trek. For those who don’t have the time or energy to attempt the whole route, this leg is a wonderful taste of Himalayan trekking.

Tour Highlights

  • It is highly recommended for its breathtaking meadows, wildflowers, and relative accessibility as a safer alternative to the neighboring Pin Parvati Pass.
  • Experience two distinct worlds in one trek: start in the lush green, forest-filled Bhaba Valley and finish in the stark, stunning, brown-and-pink landscape of Spiti Valley.
  • Witness lush green meadows dotted with wild flowers (in July/August) and catch glimpses of Himalayan wildlife like Ibex and Blue Sheep (Bharal).
