One of the most classic itineraries of the Himalaya is Phirtse la Trek.The trek starts from Sarchu and reaches the vast lands of zanskar.It Has fascinationg views of Snow capped Mountains. The major attraction of the trek is Phuktal Monastery on a rock face lies on banks of Zanskar river.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Manali
Arrival at Manali ,Check in to Hotel.In afternoon we will walk to Hadimba Devi Temple and Manu temple for acclimatization .
Day 2: Manali – Sarchu
Post Breakfast drive to Sarchu Via Baralacha pass(4800 m).It is 4 hours Beautiful drive ,we will see deepak Tal and Suraj tal on the way and finally head down to Sarchu .Stay overnight in Swiss Camps.
Day 3:Sarchu – Lingti(4400 m)
Today we will Start trek following Lingti chu River .The trail goes through Pasture land and later reached high desert Valley.It is 6 hours walk .Overnight in Tents.
Day 4:Lingti – Chumik Marpho(4700 m)
We will start early in the morning and cross the river and then climb the plateau continue toward the river again for night Hault at Chumik Marpho.
Day 5:Chumik Marpho – Phirtse la(5565 m)- Zingchen
Today we will start early in the morning and climb upto pass 4-5 Hours.The view from top of the pass is breathtaking you can see mountains of Changthang Valley and zanskar valley.Continue descent down to reach zingchen camp.
Day 6: Zingchen -Tangze
Zingchen-Tangze(4000 m)After breakfast start trek downhill to Zanskar Valley and reach the first village after trek to Tangze and Camp.It is 4 Hours walk.
Day 7: Tangze -Purne- Phuktal Monastery
We will start trek to Purne .Later visit Phuktal monastery and visit the 2500-year-old Gompa is built literally on the side of a cliff.The Phuktal Gompa belongs to Gelugpa School of Tibetan Buddism which was established in 15th century by jangsem sherap zangpo, a discipline of Tsonkhapa.Here we can visit the inner temples and see a stone tablet left by the Hungarian, Alexander Csoma de Koros, one of the first explorers in Tibet, 1826-27. Overnight in Purne at Camps.
Day 8:Purne-Kurgyaik-Shinkula pass(5091 m)-Manali
Post breakfast start drive to the gateway of Zanskar the Shinkula pass to reach Jispa and via Atal Tunnel to Manali.Overnight at Hotel in Manali.
End of Tour.
